To continue operating at our high standard, we are looking for a General Manager with strong leadership, sales acumen, and critical thinking capabilities for our Atlanta region. The GM will not only oversee operational and sales staff but will also play a pivotal role in expanding market share, building client relationships, and implementing sales strategies that align with Dilmar’s business objectives.
This role is responsible for managing the region’s overall operations while driving revenue through effective sales management. An ideal candidate works hand-in-hand with our suppliers to ensure competitive pricing while negotiating a fair margin with bulk customers to secure and maintain business. Additionally, the GM will develop and execute sales plans that promote client retention and growth, optimize deliveries, uphold safety ratings, and manage P&L statements to ensure a profitable operation. This position requires independent and cross-divisional work between multiple support and operating divisions, as well as a focus on achieving and exceeding volume, margin, and profitability goals.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, making adjustments to improve results
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling across Dilmar’s product line
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions and customer outreach programs
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Skills
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
- Experience in planning, budgeting, and sales management
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability

- Problem-solving aptitudeBSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
Technical Expertise
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery information, etc…
- Provide technical assistance to accounts as needed.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
