Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will assist production in the setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining of machinery and equipment.

• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, welding, fabrication and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of food processing and packaging machines
• Support production in the assembly of machinery as needed
• Maintain inventory of production equipment parts and order as assigned/needed
• Complete timely repairs and maintain all equipment to the highest operating standards to avoid any “down time” and loss of productivity
• Assist in preventative maintenance program
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Cohesively work with and effectively communicate with all employees to maximize volume and quality output.
  
  

2-5 years of technical experience in a food manufacturing setting pref. Minimum of a HS diploma required.
