Busy Urgent Care / Family Practice seeking Nurse Practitioner for our Family Practice Department

Currently looking for FULL TIME Nurse Practitioner, flexibility with schedule (8 hour shifts, 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts).

Experience in a family practice setting / urgent care preferred.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess patient health status including state of wellness; compliance with care plan determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, physicals and monitoring therapies.
  • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Interprets and integrates data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
  • Triage patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Educated patients and families as appropriate. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits
  • Documents patient information and care provided in patient record.
  • Consults with other staff as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of approved nurse practitioner program. Current GA APRN license- Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting. Occasional stress from dealing with multiple tasks and tense patients. Requires full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Able to gather and analyze physiological, socioeconomic and emotional patient data.
  • Able to evaluate and revise care plan based on patient changes.
  • Able to apply and modify the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
  • Able to communicate clearly and establish / maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, referring providers and the public.
  • Able to make responsible decisions within the scope of the practice as outlines by the state guidelines.
  • ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS :

    Medical office and exam room setting. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions.

    ADDITIONAL NOTES

    Employee must be self motivated and able to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment.
