Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:43 p.m., 183 days
Pay Rate: In accordance with the D.T.A. Salary Schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Certification as School Adjustment Counselor
- Master's Degree in Social Work Preferred
- Three years experience as social woker desired
Nature and Scope of Work:
To help students resolve personal, emotional, and social problems that interfere with their adjustment to school and their capacity to function effectively in school programs.
To work intensively on a one-to-one basis with those students who have been unable to function effectively in school, and to deal immediately with individual student problems of a crisis nature in constructive, supportive non-judgmental manner.
