Job Summary:
The Practical Nursing Program Director is an integral member of the Greater Fall River Vocational School District Administrative team and contributes to the development and continuity of an effective and harmonious team. The Practical Nursing Program Director/Teacher shall have overall responsibility for all activities of the School of Practical Nursing.
Qualifications:
Education/Formal Training:
Candidate shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and earned a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Certification/License:
Candidate shall have current licensure in good standing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts and a secondary administrative license issues pursuant to M.G.L.c.71, s.38G; within one year of employment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Candidate shall have a minimum of five years full time nursing experience, or its equivalent, within the last eight years, with at least three years in nursing education. Candidates shall have administrative and/or supervisory experience in a school setting. Candidates shall have demonstrated skills that address the Professional Standards for Administrators as outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
