Summary: Dime Community Bank is currently hiring for a Commercial Loan Booking Processor at its headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Commercial Loan Booking Processor is responsible for the onboarding of various types of Commercial and Mortgage Loans, including both new and renewals. The role also handles the processing of all amendments, extensions, and loan maintenance as authorized and adheres to all policy and procedures. The Commercial Loan Booking Processor completes the uploads and related file maintenance reviews. General loan documentation experience required.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $62,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:
- Review closed loan file for proper legal and boarding information. Verify approval levels.
- Board new loans, renewals, extensions, modifications, and changes in terms to the Bank’s loan accounting system. Build Collateral and Guarantor records.
- Establish Master Credit Facilities and updates as applicable.
- Research and respond to booking-related matter; make necessary changes, adjustments, and corrections. Perform Day 1 quality control.
- Add all applicable addenda and updates to all User Defined Fields with accuracy for financial reporting.
- Review daily file/transaction maintenance and completed Account Guard timely.
- Review and clear any non-posted items.
- Process work from Loans in Process or Payments Received timely.
- Process and assess fees to loans and apply applicable Deferred Fees and Costs.
- Process payment and payoff transactions as may be applicable to loans booked.
- Place holds on accounts and update loan record of such hold (Collateral or Piti).
- Research and respond to Help Desk tickets.
- Provide legal documents to imaging team for uploading.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Good basic computer and data entry skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (previous spreadsheet use key).
- General loan documentation experience required.
- Good mathematics, accounting, and balancing skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of people with tact and professionalism.
- Highly motivated and flexible with excellent organizational skills.
