Dime Community Bank is hiring a Cybersecurity Intern for its 2024 Summer Internship Program (see Responsibilities and Qualifications below). Interested applicants will participate in a paid, in-office, 10-week program that will contribute to your professional and personal growth. The hourly wage minimum = $16; maximum = $18. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. Dime does not provide visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities for the Cybersecurity Summer Intern include:
- Assisting in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and security audits.
- Researching and documenting emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Supporting security tool configuration and management.
- Participating in incident response and forensic investigations.
- Collaborating with IT teams to implement security best practices.
- Helping develop and test security scripts and automation tools.
Qualifications:
- Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited University/College pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Motivated. Curious. Eager to learn. Inquisitive. Proactive contributor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, in Hauppauge, NY.
