Summary: Dime Community Bank ("Dime") is currently hiring for a Systems Architect position based at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. Working collaboratively with the Integration & Innovation team, the Systems Architect will be responsible for database administration (DBA), and API management. This role involves designing, optimizing, and maintaining databases, managing, and integrating APIs, and building efficient backend solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of data management, and API management, ensuring seamless communication between applications and databases.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location. Dime does not provide relocation assistance or visa sponsorship (now or in the future).

Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
- Design and Integrate APIs to connect different software systems.
- Work with SharePoint, including managing data, workflows, and Integration.
- Optimize system performance by troubleshooting and fixing technical issues.
- Ensure data security and backup processes are in place.
- Collaborate with teams to improve software and database solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline (Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering). Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five years’ experience in database development and administration with aptitude to maintain and administrate a SAS platform. Experience working for a bank or other financial institution a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of and certification in SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 required, including Integration Services.
- Experience in TSQL, VBScript, JScript, PowerShell, Batch programming required.
- Software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C/C , Java, HTML, SAS) required.
- Experience developing database environments using various platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Hadoop required.
- Strong background in designing reports in various reporting solutions such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, IBM Cognos a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of IIS and Apache a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
- Must possess strong critical thinking and complex technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in both Linux and Windows environments, preferably as an administrator.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
