One of our leading clients in onboarding a Mechanical Engineer/ Estimator on a permanent basis in Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid). The client is offering a competitive salary along with good benefits package
Ideal candidates will have and do:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and typically 3-5 years of experience as a Application Engineer or Estimator for an HVAC manufacturers rep.
- Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry a plus.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Adobe, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with manufacturer's software a plus. Johnson Controls - Solution
- Navigator, YorkWorks, Edge, K-Select; Bosch BST; Wilo Pump Intelliquip.
- Create and maintain job files for each project.
- Optimize the project through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns.
- Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
- Assist Outside-Sales Engineers and MEP Consultants with equipment product selections and consider value engineering options.
- Communicate with Owners, Architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors.
