What are the responsibilities and job description for the Offensive Coordinator position at Dimmitt High School?
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required. Applicant must hold applicable Texas Teaching Certification or be currently enrolled in an accredited certified program. Offensive Coordinator experience prefered. 2 years minimum coaching experience.
Duties Include: Be a great communicator and relationship builder. Offensive coordinator with second Sport TBD. Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned. Work with other members of school staff to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall educational development of student athletes. Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students’ athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis. Take all necessary precautions to protect student athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities. Ensure compliance with all UIL rules. Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
CDL required or willing to obtain within the year. CPR/AED First Aid Certified as well as Atavus Tackling Certification and all THSCA CCP requirements.
