Role Overview
We’re seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced Business Development and Ecosystem Growth Lead to drive partnerships and ecosystem adoption for DIMO. This role requires working with a wide range of enterprises, startups, and developers, shaping solutions to fit their needs, and supporting product development to meet market demands. This isn’t about selling a fully baked product—it’s about building relationships, identifying opportunities, and crafting tailored solutions in a dynamic, early-stage environment. We believe in "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast," and we’re building a team that embraces this philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Sales and Relationship Management
- Develop and manage relationships with large enterprises across diverse industries, including automotive, insurance, and mobility.
- Create account plans, manage complex proposals, and handle multiple stakeholders within enterprise organizations. Writing skills are a must have.
- Land and expand. Many of our enterprises start with PoCs
- Collaborate with internal teams to align the roadmap to customer needs.
- Channel Management
- Proactively identify channels and contacts through conferences, referrals, and other strategies.
- Make B2B partners/resellers who can onboard their own customers to DIMO successful.
- Developer and Startup Engagement
- Engage smaller businesses and startup developers to drive adoption of DIMO’s self-service and pay-as-you-go products.
- Assist developers in accessing grants and maximizing the value of DIMO’s tools.
- Technical Sales Expertise
- Communicate DIMO’s technical capabilities effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Understand the underlying blockchain technology and abstract its value for non-technical audiences.
- There are no sales engineers. You must be willing and able to engage in technical discussions with engineers.
- Sales Operations and Process Building
- Maintain a clean and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Assist in sales operations, including creating presentations, managing sales tools, and building processes from the ground up.
- Write detailed proposals for enterprise clients independently.
- Lead Generation, Travel and Conferences
- You are your own SDR.
- Attend automotive, mobility, and related industry conferences to represent DIMO and build relationships.
Requirements:
- 7 years of enterprise sales experience, including working with large enterprises on selling, deploying, and upselling complex solutions.
- Excellence in creating account plans and strong writing skills for complex proposals with many stakeholders.
- Comfortable finding and creating opportunities independently, including attending conferences and leveraging referrals.
- Ready to hire and manage BDRs or work with channel partners to source new deals.
- Technical aptitude sufficient to engage in detailed discussions with engineers.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in an early-stage company environment.
- Familiarity with the automotive industry is a plus but not required.
- Based in NYC for in-office work 3 days per week and travel as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- OTE: $170,000–$250,000
- Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year plus an annual bonus and commission.
- This is an early stage position and you will have the freedom to chart your own destiny on compensation.
