Job Summary
Dimond Bros Insurance is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide on-site IT support across our various office locations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and have experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires regular travel to new and existing sites, ensuring seamless IT operations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance to support our growing team and business operations.
Duties
- Provide on-site IT support at various Dimond Bros Insurance office locations, ensuring efficient and effective technology operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues in person at office locations.
- Set up, install, and configure workstations, servers, printers, and other IT equipment at new office sites.
- Provide hands-on support and training for employees on the use of IT systems, applications, and equipment.
- Ensure the security of systems and data by performing regular system checks, software updates, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols.
- Collaborate with the IT department to identify and address long-term IT infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, issues resolved, and inventory of IT equipment.
- Provide support during office relocations, new system integrations, and technology upgrades.
- Support IT initiatives such as cloud services deployment, software updates, and network expansions across various sites.
- Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance on systems to reduce downtime and improve overall IT efficiency.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection regulations is a plus.
- Ability to travel to different office locations and adapt to varying technical environments.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for travel between sites.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in IT support, with a focus on hardware and software troubleshooting, network support, and system setup.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including operating systems (Windows, macOS), networking, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with setting up and configuring workstations, servers, and peripheral devices.
