Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor/Superintendents to oversee construction projects and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality fence industry standards and meets or exceeds customer services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, including blueprint reading, OSHA regulations, fence and highway state and federal regulations. This role requires effective communication with team members, owners, contractors, and stakeholders, ability to use project management software while managing daily operations on the construction site and able to put on their tool bags and lead by example.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction workers on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction processes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards, to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Manage construction management software tools such as Procore and Bluebeam and other PMI programs for project tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
- Train and mentor team members in construction techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours.
- Manage mulitple projects and tasks at one time.
- Look out ahead and forecast 3 days and 1 to weeks ahead of time.
- Expedite and gather materials for projects
- Take measurements and draw up sketch for fabrication of gates and custom orders
- Welding knowledge is preferred, not required
- Operations of inventory controls and site management required
- Proficient and time management and production rate analysis
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including contract management.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Excel, Procore, Bluebeam is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Knowledge with Fleet Management and logistical challenges in the state of Alaska
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
