CNC Operator 1st shift

• Read and interpret bills of materials (BOM) and blueprints
• Check sheet metal and sheet metal components against BOM and blueprints to confirm that raw material and finished components are correct
• Follow production schedule as assigned
• Operate Laser and press breaks
• Operate grinder to deburr parts
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks per schedule
• Label all parts & confirm order is complete
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure fabricated parts meet requirements
• Safely and properly operate forklift, hydraulic hoist, and/or other lift equipment
• Observe all company rules and policies, i.e. safety, attendance
• Participate and work in a team atmosphere
• Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship
• Suggest design and procedure improvements that improve quality, productivity, and reduce cost
• Responsible for keeping work area(s) clean and free of clutter during work time and at the end of shift 5S time
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Experience operating CNC controls
• Experience operating laser machine tools and press brakes preferred
• Ability to read drawings and interpret work order information
• Experience with calipers, radius gages or similar inspection tools
• Ability to read, write and do simple math

• Experience using shop tools, including hand and power tools
• Physical and visual acuity at a level to effectively perform duties. Be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, squat and kneel. Be able to push or pull at least 50 pounds and be able to safely lift at least 40 pounds. Be able to reach and work overhead.
• Must have high school diploma.
