What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Dimplex Thermal Solutions?
Roles & Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- Construct prototype chillers including plumbing, refrigeration assembly, and electrical wiring
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems
- Perform validation testing using specialized lab instruments and data acquisition systems
- Collect, analyze, and document test results to inform design improvements
- Develop clear work instructions and training materials for production team members
- Manage and update prototype build schedules to ensure timely project completion
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to support prototype installation and startup
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 3 years of building industrial equipment, including mechanical and wiring.
- Good critical thinking skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and refrigeration schematic drawings
- Experience debugging electrical, plumbing and refrigeration systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work as part of a team.
