About the Role:
Responsible for supporting restaurants to optimize the food journey and achieve our COGS goals. This includes simplifying inventory management, finding prep and portioning efficiencies, and continuing to simplify tools and systems to support quality and food safe service. Food journey tools and systems include physical tools like smallwares, content like recipes, job aids, and digital applications to guide prep and production. You will ensure that optimal processes are communicated and well understood by restaurant teams.
Responsibilities:
Food Journey Operations
- Drive process improvement and simplification for inventory & COGS management for operators:
- Address restaurant questions or concerns related to inventory variances & system support.
- Follows up with recommendations for new company programs and initiatives
- Leverage data & analysis to identify opportunities to improve COGS performance through reducing food variances & waste, prep & line execution, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Create & maintain training and reporting to support restaurant COGS performance.
- Examples include variance reporting, inventory SOPs, budgeting tools etc.
- Teaching and reviewing Crunchtime processes with Store leaders and managers
NRO Support
- Set up and maintain user access levels Set up Crunchtime, ensure appropriate users access, train kitchen managers
- Review plans for new restaurants to ensure all layouts protect efficient labor, prep, & food safety requirements.
- Communicate deviations from standards to Ops Innovation & support exploration.
- Ensure feedback is reviewed and implemented into revised plans as needed in collaboration with Design Managers.

Job Requirements:
- 3 years of experience restaurant and/or kitchen operations working with key stakeholders such as culinary, supply chain, operations, food safety, technology, and ops leadership
- Restaurant operations experience, esp. in kitchen operations
- Strong depth of knowledge for kitchen equipment and supplies, and experience with a large vendor network
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g. NetChef Enterprise)
- Highly analytical approach to problem solving using both qualitative and quantitative data; natural curiosity and desire for continuous improvement.
- Proficient CrunchTime software knowledge
- Proficient MS suite user with Excel mastery and Google suite of apps
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to teach process to managers
- Service minded approach to the work being highly sensitive to the needs operations
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with data analytics, restaurant management, business administration, operations management or equivalent
