Cafe Attendant

GENERAL PURPOSE

Performs a variety of duties to assist in preparation and serving customers at the Dinaland Golf Course Cafe. Take meal orders, prepare and serve food, and sell and serve beverages in a friendly, and professional manner.

Essential Functions

• Take accurate food and beverage orders; deliver food and beverages to patrons in a friendly and safe manner.
• Ability to safely fry-cook food and prepare a typical grab-n-go type of menu.
• Cash handling abilities / basic math.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen, dining area, deck, and bathrooms.
• Stock shelves, fridges, condiments, and complete food and beverage requisition sheet.
• Ability to interact politely and professionally with patrons, the public, vendors, and employees.
• Must work as part of a cohesive team.
• Dependability - must be reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help customers and coworkers.
• Follow the policies and procedures of USSD1 and Dinaland Golf Course.

Minimum Qualifications

• Sufficient training and knowledge to demonstrate ability or aptitude to learn essential functions of the job, and safely perform duties. Fry-cook experience is preferred.
• Must be age 21 or older to serve alcohol, and must have or be able to get state-required alcohol seller server certification.
• Must have or have the ability to obtain a food handlers permit.
• Must pass background screening if 18 years of age or over.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Work Environment

• All work will be at the Dinaland Golf Course Cafe.
• Continuous physical demands include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking, and problem-solving.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
