- Monday and Wednesday; 4:00 PM - 5:40 PM
- Tuesday and Thursday; 4:00 PM to 5:40 PM
Summary/Objective of position:
This Adjunct faculty position aims to provide instruction in a 100-level Navajo language course at the Tuba City campus through a face-to-face modality. Along with providing instruction, this position is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and analyzing instructional effectiveness and improvements.

- The selected candidate shall be responsible for instruction and curriculum design, course content, and syllabi.
- The mode of instructional delivery shall be face-to-face with support from the Canvas Learning Management System.
- Duties include collection of artifacts, analysis, and strategic design for improvements to future instructions.
- The candidate is also responsible for some advisement and recruitment efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum:
- MA degree in any education field with emphasis in credential in Navajo language instruction equal to 18 credit hours.
Preferred:
- Ed.D or PhD
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Youn and Morgan text and dictionary.
- Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policies, college policies, and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) standards.
- Knowledge of learning management systems, e.g., Canvas.
Skills:
- Lesson planning skills are required.
- Classroom management skills required.
- Human relation skills are required.
- Technological skills required.
Abilities:
- Able to demonstrate good work ethics.
- Able to communicate effectively, verbal and in writing using both English and Navajo language.
- Ability to travel to get the job.
Physical requirements, Work Environment & Travel:
- Applicant should be physically fit for the job at hand, e.g., lifting moderately heavy objects.
- Minimal travel requirement.
Other Requirements:
- Fluency in Navajo and English.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
