Dinsmore is accepting resumes for our 2026 summer program from law students in the 2027 graduating class who are interested in general summer associate/non-IP positions as well as positions specifically with our Intellectual Property Department. Please note, locations are different for these opportunities and we encourage students to review the posting closely. General summer associate/non-IP positions will be located in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus, OH; San Diego and Los Angeles, CA; Indianapolis, IN; Lexington and Louisville, KY; Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, FL; Pittsburgh, PA; and Charleston, WV.
Additionally, our Intellectual Property Department will recruit 2L summer associates for positions in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Dayton, OH; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Pittsburgh, PA; and San Diego, CA. A technical background is required for patent positions and we are looking for students with patent-bar-eligible undergraduate degrees.
Interested 2L students must be able to demonstrate high academic achievement, excellent research and writing abilities, extracurricular involvement and/or employment history (preferably in leadership positions), maturity, the ability to accept responsibility, and strong interpersonal skills.
