Dinsmore is seeking a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant at our downtown Pittsburgh location.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation, including client communications, case management, and trial preparation. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in managing litigation cases from inception through resolution
Maintain and organize case files, documents, and correspondence
Monitor case deadlines and court schedules
Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings
Conduct legal research
Prepare and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial exhibits
Assist with e-filing of court documents in state and federal courts
Organize and maintain evidence, exhibits, and witness lists
Prepare trial binders and assist attorneys during trial proceedings
Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars and correspondence
Requirements
5 years of experience as a litigation assistant or paralegal in a law firm or legal department.
Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and legal procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software (iManage)
Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
Attention to detail with top notch proofreading skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Possess comfort level with working in a high volume practice
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Proficiency in and legal document management systems
Experience with electronic discovery and trial preparation software
Proven success as a positive team player as well as an independent worker
Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
