Catholic of Pointe Coupee is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our faculty as a High School Math and/or Chemistry Teacher. We are a Catholic school committed to upholding our values, traditions, and academic excellence. This position is flexible, offering the opportunity for either full-time or part-time employment based on the candidate's qualifications and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach high Advanced Math and/or Chemistry (Honors and Non-Honors).
Design engaging and rigorous lesson plans aligned with academic standards and Catholic values.
Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that supports student growth academically, spiritually, and socially.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students in both Honors and Non-Honors courses.
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other evaluation methods, providing timely and constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a cohesive academic program.
Serve as a role model, demonstrating faith and leadership in line with the mission and traditions of our Catholic school.
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in: Education, Math, Chemistry, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain one).
Experience teaching high school-level Math and/or Chemistry preferred.
Commitment to upholding Catholic values and fostering a faith-based learning environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
