Job Title: Thrift Store Manager
Job Summary:
St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a motivated Thrift Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy thrift store. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management, inventory control, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director of Stores
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc
Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
Prepare work schedules for store associates, providing for proper floor coverage at all times
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
Report maintenance issues to the Director of Stores and/or landlord
Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance
Additional store manager duties as needed
Qualifications:
2 years of retail management experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of thrift store operations is a plus
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
