Job Title: Preschool Aide
This position assists the Pre-School Teacher in providing a nurturing educational environment for the students. Key responsibilities include acting as a liaison between parents and the teacher, supervising classroom activity in the absence of the teacher, and performing various administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, an understanding of child development, and excellent communication skills. Additionally, they must be able to handle classroom situations with fairness and patience, and demonstrate initiative in following a teacher's direction.
A High School Diploma and at least 2 years of college or related coursework in child development are required. The candidate must also have clear records of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check, as well as attendance at the online Protecting God's Children class and Mandated Reporter Training.
Working hours are between 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. May be required to work outside normal hours to attend school-related events, meetings, and/or staff development.
