HOUSEKEEPER/COOK
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provides cleaning, cooking and /or laundry services for the priests living at the Sacred Heart Residence, as well as the overall cleanliness of the Sacred Heart Residence. Monday thru Friday (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
Located in Cherry Hill, NJ
POSSIBLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans the Residence by dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, scrubbing and vacuuming. Follows the cleaning schedule to assure the Residence is maintained in an orderly manner.
- Provides laundry services for priests living in Residence. Washes, dries and irons clothing and linens and arranges for dry cleaning as appropriate.
- Maintains supply areas with cleaning products and communicates supply needs to the person in charge of ordering.
- May assist with cooking or dining service if the need arises.
- Maintains a professional and respectful demeanor to other staff and residents at all times.
- Performs all other related tasks as requested by Supervisor.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful work experience in completing a cleaning plan including sweeping, dusting, washing, waxing, scrubbing and vacuuming.
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible hours (may not be necessary).
- Good public relations skills for directing those who call or visit the Residence.
- May be required to provide own transportation for job-related responsibilities.
