Senior Financial Analyst – Parish Support
This Senior Analyst position will work within the Finance Department of the Diocese of Camden and support the CFO of the Diocese while working closely with Parish staff and team members at all levels of the organization.
Job Duties
- Coordination of parish budget process, to include preparation of budget packages, review of, comment on, and acceptance of completed budgets.
- To review actual operational results of parishes on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Provide analysis and development of parish datasets, debt capacity and debt repayment capabilities.
- Provide assistance with the ConnectNow Accounting system to parish staff.
- Meet with Pastors, Business Managers and others to review financial results, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in the parishes.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities Required
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, processes, procedures, and standards.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Software (Excel, Word & Outlook.)
- Exemplary planning and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Is highly detail-oriented and an effective written and verbal communicator.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of accounting experience required.
- Has experience managing the budget and financial processes of a company.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and in teams.
- Has an eye towards improvement – identifies needs and creates and implements a plan for driving improvement.
