St Casimir K-8 The Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Third Grade will assume the responsibilities of a regular classroom teacher during their absence, providing continuity of instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. This position requires a flexible and adaptable individual capable of effectively managing classroom dynamics and implementing instructional plans.
Responsibilities :
Instructional Delivery :
Deliver engaging and effective lessons based on the provided curriculum and instructional materials.
Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners and ensure understanding and mastery of content.
Utilize various instructional strategies and resources to promote student engagement and learning.
Classroom Management :
Establish and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
Manage student behavior effectively, addressing any disruptions promptly and appropriately.
Assessment and Evaluation
Assess student progress and understanding through a variety of methods, such as quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and grades.
Communication and Collaboration :
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with other educators and support staff to coordinate instruction and student support services.
Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities as required.
Professionalism
Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to professional ethical standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills
Qualifications :
Teaching certification or substitute teacher certification
Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
