St. Ann Catholic School, Cadillac, MI (www.stanncadillac.org) ~ a leader in Catholic education ~ is seeking a highly qualified certified early childhood educator to work with our early elementary program as a full-time Kindergarten Teacher. This position is an immediate opening and will be posted until the position is filled. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, extensive experience working in a classroom, and an Elementary Teaching Certificate or in the process of pursuing.
Qualified candidates :
- Strong communication skills and intuitive knowledge of how children think.
- CPR and First Aid Certified (will be provided if not already)
- Have a passion for and understanding of early childhood development as well as developmentally appropriate practices. Support children in their social / emotional, physical, cognitive and creative growth.
- Assist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them feel successful in their school experience.
- Be responsible for developing open lines of communication with families and work towards forming strong relationships with their students.
- Communicate and work effectively with other staff.
