What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent of Catholic Schools position at Diocese of Greensburg?
The Diocese of Greensburg seeks a dynamic educator to serve as the leader of our highly successful Catholic Schools. Working with the Bishop, Diocesan staff, and school leadership the Superintendent will be the key administrator in oversight of education of youth throughout the Diocese. The ideal candidate will be able to continue our proud tradition of promoting the value of a quality Catholic school education.
Qualified applicants must have a Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in Education or an appropriate related field; Superintendent Letter of Eligibility; previous experience as a credentialed Catholic school teacher and/or Catholic school principal; be a registered and active member of a parish; be a member in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church and be willing and able to model his/her faith daily.
Applicants must be able to communicate an understanding of the importance of curriculum development and the use of technology in education. The ability to work collaboratively with various parties (school staff, students, parents, parish, and diocesan staff) is critical. Demonstrated administrative ability and addressing various issues including budgets, planning and communication are key.
