School Maintenance Worker (Level 1)
Part-Time (20 evening hours per week)
School: Resurrection Catholic School
City & State: Lancaster, PA
Payroll Grade: 10 FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
NATURE OF POSITION: Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, inspecting and reporting on the condition of the school and any auxiliary buildings and assisting the principal in the implementation of a maintenance program for the school.
REPORTING FUNCTION: Reports directly to the principal or their designate.

EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A high school or trade school diploma with two to three years related work experience preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties may include any or all of the following:
- Performing basic janitorial functions such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, mopping and sweeping floors, washing windows, maintaining bathroom facilities, emptying trash, etc.
- Inspecting the church and auxiliary buildings at least once every six months and submitting a detailed report on their condition to the principal.
- Preparing and maintaining a list of required repairs.
- Scheduling and performing maintenance for and repairs to buildings and equipment and reporting maintenance and repairs beyond his/her own capacity to the immediate supervisor.
- Preparing a preventative maintenance schedule, indicating when outside professional and technical assistance is required.
- Making facilities available to outside vendors for work. Accompany vendors to work area when required.
- Submitting a list of needed repairs together with estimated costs to the immediate supervisor for consideration in the annual budget process.
- Initiating and submitting to the immediate supervisor requests for the purchase of materials and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
