JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary / Objective
The High School Dance Team Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the teaching of dance fundamentals, routines, and proper conditioning. The coach provides effective leadership to ensure a positive learning environment, emphasizing academic achievement and competitiveness.
Essential Functions
- Teaching and Coaching :
Plan and conduct dance practices, teaching routines, techniques, and conditioning.
Supervise all dance team activities, including practices, performances, and competitions.
Coordinate tryouts, including distributing applications, securing judges, and tallying results.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and community members.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive work ethic.

Position Type / Hours of Work
This is a paid, exempt, 2 season position that runs from August - February. Hours are dependent on the needs of the team.
Travel
Travel competitions and home games expected.
