RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure fulfillment of Catholic mission and identity in the Agency.
- Plan, organize and supervise the Agency’s programs, policies and practices.
- Implement, integrate, and coordinate all social work activity within the Agency.
- Report quarterly to the Board of Directors regarding the activities of the Agency.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of adequate records of work done by the Agency, (case and group work records, Agency and community activity, etc.).
- Develop and evaluate the professional supervisory staff of the Agency. Develop recommendations regarding salaries, promotion, separation and any other personnel action deemed necessary.
- Provide supervision/consultation to the professional staff to enable them to provide the kind of service which enables clients to make optimum use of the Agency programs.
- Facilitate professional growth of the staff through in-service training programs, staff meetings, workshops and professional conferences.
- Establish standards of performance and methods of evaluating the professional staff.
- Keep abreast of developments in the profession, in community organizations, and social legislation. Take advantage of staff development, professional meetings, and educational programs, which will further the growth and development of the Executive Director.
- Participate in educational programs for social work students, aides and professionals.
- Develop methods of evaluating and effecting revisions and changes in programs and practices as needed.
- Provide leadership in research concerned with Agency programs related to utilizing staff and knowledge creatively.
- Encourage good working relationships with other community agencies, professionals, clergy, and other interested people so as to further the services of the Agency and enhance good public relations.
- Provide consultation with community resources to meet the needs of clients of the Agency.
- Exercise control of the budget. Review monthly expenditures and approve payment of bills.
- Be responsible for the development and presentation of the budget for Catholic Social Services and present the budget to the Board of Directors and the Diocesan Finance Council for final approval.
- Explore potential funding sources outside of the Catholic Diocese of Marquette, e.g., grants, government contracts, fundraising initiatives, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience a leadership role preferred.
- Must be a practicing Catholic passionate to serve Jesus Christ.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
