Description
Drives parish school bus to transport students to and from school, field trips, athletic events, and other activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assists students as necessary to enter and leave the bus.
- Keep order on the bus during operation.
- Loads and unloads baggage or luggage (if necessary).
- Keeps bus clean and in proper operating condition.
- Make minor repairs or adjustments as needed including checking tire air pressures, checking fluid levels, and keeping a truck logbook.
- Monitoring times for oil changes and other maintenance due dates in coordination with the Facilities Manager.
- Keeping accurate mileage log and trip log for periodic review and audit.
- Perform a pre-trip inspection before starting each route and notating it in log book.
- Perform other duties that arise or are assigned.
