Description
The Diocese of Scranton is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant
to the Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Human Services / Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Social
Services. Scheduled work time is 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM but must be flexible based on the needs of the office.
This shall be a salaried position in compliance with State / Federal wage regulations.
Child Line PA State Police and FBI background checks required prior to beginning employment;
VIRTUS training (employer provided) is also required.
Responsibilities / Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for general administrative support such as answering
multiple phone lines in the Executive Office preparing correspondence and mailings organizing
and scheduling the calendar of the CEO of Catholic Social Services and maintaining the
files / records within the office. This position also serves as secretary for monthly Governing Board
meetings and will be responsible for coordinating agenda items and preparing meeting minutes.

Required Qualifications
- The minimum experience and training may be a high school diploma or G.E.D with
preferred major in business and experience in clerical and / or fiscal employment.
