St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Varsity Football Quarterbacks' Coach to join our varsity football coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field, a strong understanding of quarterback mechanics, and a commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans focused on quarterback fundamentals, including footwork, throwing mechanics, pocket presence, decision-making, and leadership.
- Analyze game film and practice footage to provide individualized coaching and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the offensive coordinator and head coach to install game plans, playbooks, and weekly strategies.
- Mentor student-athletes in leadership, discipline, sportsmanship, and academic accountability.
- Support athletes with recruiting exposure when applicable.
- Attend all practices, games, coaches’ meetings, and school-required events related to the football program.
- Promote a positive, Christ-centered environment aligned with the values and expectations of St. Petersburg Catholic High School.
- Previous coaching or playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level (quarterback-specific experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of offensive systems and quarterback development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for games as required.
- Must pass a background check and complete all Diocese of St. Petersburg Safe Environment training.
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school.
- Experience with HUDL or similar video analysis tools.
- Teaching certification or interest in other roles within the school (optional, but may offer additional employment opportunities).
- CPR/First Aid certification.
