Overview
Epiphany Cathedral is a very dynamic and growing parish. We have a ministry for almost every spiritual need, and we have groups that celebrate many different styles of prayer. We are looking for an individual that through our communications avenues can portray our Church to others.
Job ResponsibilitiesWork on the design of the Parish bulletin, the Parish's website, and any around-campus bulletin boards and communications areas.Develop on-line forms for website (reservations, etc.)Develop, implement, and manage special events and activities as needed.Draft written communications for Parishioners (letters, Christmas cards, etc.)Maintain good working relationships and effective communications between the parish community, various organizations, neighbors, and outside authorities.Attend events as needed to take pictures, post to social media, and otherwise promote events.Create videos for website, social media, etc.Manage communications via Evangelus / Email / social media for Parish events.Create marketing and public relations materials for all departments at the Parish.Maintain digital sign communication board with current information.Work with different departments on campus as necessary.Write press releases when necessary.Develop and maintain a working relationship with the local media.Work with local Parishes with advertising events and programs.Compose, proof, correct and distribute letters, memos, forms, documents, emails, and faxes.Other duties as assigned.High School Diploma or equivalent required, Marketing or Communications degree preferred.Experience and knowledge with social media, data analytics, video production, and advertising layoutsOutstanding organizational and leadership skillsExcellent communications skills both written and oralAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs including Microsoft Suite.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines.Ability to work effectively with Parish and Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the public.Must work weekends.
