Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Account Executive to develop and manage the account activities for a defined set of clients. This full-time role will involve building relationships, scoping projects, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to grow client revenue. This is not a traditional sales role. The essence of this position is to develop, and project manage projects and as a result of this partnership and delivering value-added work, gain additional business within our large and sophisticated clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Scope and launch new projects, including proposal writing, resource assembly, and project oversight. Provide direction to the operations team in support of the smooth planning and delivery of client projects.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients to identify leadership and organizational development needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Sales Support: Assist in prospecting new work in existing clients and work with sales team on proposal writing to secure new clients.
- Communication & Reporting: Prepare client status reports, conduct regular reviews, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. Communicate needs and activities with coaching and consulting team selected to deliver client projects.
- Quality Assurance: Identify and implement project quality standards, manage client expectations, and resolve complex issues.
- Financial Management: Maintain accurate project records, manage invoicing, and monitor project expenditures.
Key Skills
- Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong client relationships. This includes active listening, the capacity to understand client needs and concerns, problem-solving, and creating and articulating solutions that fit those needs.
- Strategic account planning: Set account objectives, identify key stakeholders, and develop a roadmap for account expansion. Be able to identify future needs quickly and efficiently.
- Communication and negotiation: Articulate ideas clearly, present solutions persuasively, and negotiate terms that and organizational development programs.
- Business acumen: Understand the business and financial aspects of our consulting business and the client's industry. Able to create and maintain project budgets and invoicing. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver the best solutions for clients.
- Self-motivation: Be proactive and driven to achieve success for both the client and the company. Adaptable and able to adjust to changing client needs and market conditions.
- Attention to detail and time: Detail-oriented with a high level of organization and the ability to prioritize effectively. Manage time effectively to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor: Maintain discretion and confidentiality while effectively communicating with staff, contractors, and clients.
Position Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in designing programs in the human capital field (leadership or organizational development preferred).
- 5 or more years of project management experience in consulting or professional services.
- Experience in selling or negotiating professional services contracts.
- Executive presence with a proven ability to work with senior level executives to learn about their coaching, leadership, or culture issues and recommend solutions aligned with Dion Leadership’s offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
- Able to work in the Novi, Michigan office 2 – 3 days per week.
