Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable / office manager to join our Construction/Excavating team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work effectively with various financial software systems. ( Quickbooks) The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct credit analysis to assess customer creditworthiness.
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions.
- Collaborate with the public accounting team to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Utilize financial software for tracking payments, generating reports, and maintaining records.
- Support corporate accounting functions by providing necessary documentation and data.
- Maintain organized files for all accounts receivable transactions and correspondence.
Skills
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems is essential.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques and corporate accounting practices.
- Experience in public accounting or financial services is a plus.
- Ability to perform coding for transactions accurately.
