Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee roofing projects from estimation handover through closeout. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning :
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements, ensuring efficient execution across departments.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
Conduct site visits to assess project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise mitigation strategies.
Work with estimating and operations teams to develop accurate project estimates.
2. Project Execution and Management :
Coordinate with the operations department to finalize procurement, scheduling, subcontractor management, and quality control before project commencement.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to maintain schedule and budget.
Track project budget, expenses, and financial performance, working closely with operations leadership to manage materials, labor, tools, and contingencies.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays, disruptions, or financial loss.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, and correspondence.
Lead and motivate project teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and support staff, to achieve project goals.
3. Quality Assurance :
Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and project specifications.
Implement corrective actions to address deficiencies promptly.
Document and communicate project performance metrics daily to identify areas for improvement.
4. Safety Compliance :
Enforce and promote adherence to current safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Client Relations :
Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally and promptly.
Identify opportunities for additional services or project expansions to enhance client satisfaction and drive business growth.
6. Continuous Improvement :
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills
Education and Experience :
Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the roofing or construction industry.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
