Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Direct Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide daily assistance and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping others and eager to contribute to a warm and welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
- Monitor and record residents’ vital signs, behaviors, and progress, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Foster a safe, clean, and engaging environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
- Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and other facility-related tasks as needed.
- Promote resident independence and participate in recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow care plans.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus; training opportunities may be available upon hire.
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of the role.
