Director of Nursing (DON) - Long-Term Care (SNF)
Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year
Location: Cottonwood Falls, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (On-call after hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Summary:
Join a compassionate and dynamic team as a Director of Nursing (DON) at a skilled nursing facility. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives while providing strategic leadership for nursing care and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and wellness for residents.
- Oversee clinical care, perform assessments, and evaluate resident outcomes.
- Administer and monitor the community's medication management and infection control programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate resident care plans.
- Provide clinical training and education to staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Track and analyze clinical performance data to implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage the nursing budget and daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas RN license and current CPR certification.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 1 year in long-term care preferred.
- At least 1 year of nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, and supervising staff.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
- DON or ADON experience in geriatric nursing is preferred.
