Histotechnologist/Histotechnician - Charlotte, NC
Shift: Monday – Friday, day shift (On-site only)
Pay: $30-$35 per hour, based on experience
Summary:
Prepares histologic slides from tissue samples for microscopic examination by Pathologists.
Essential Duties:
- Process and stain tissue specimens for examination.
- Perform special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures.
- Maintain equipment, records, and inventory.
- Ensure quality control and troubleshoot issues with lab equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow lab standards and safety procedures (OSHA, CLIA).
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- H.T. or H.T.L. (ASCP) certification required.
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands and arms, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to chemicals and airborne particles.
