Infusion Nurse (RN) – Oncology Focus - Salem, OR
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Outpatient
Shift: Days (4x10s or 5x8s available) – No weekends, no on-call
Pay Range: $45 – $65/hour
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusion Nurse (RN) with a passion for oncology care to join our outpatient team in Salem, Oregon. The ideal candidate is an experienced and compassionate nurse with a strong foundation in infusion therapies and a desire to provide patient-centered, high-quality care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document health histories.
- Monitor patients during and after infusions; report and address adverse reactions promptly.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and therapy-related side effects.
- Coordinate care and collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise and guide medical assistants and support staff within the clinical team.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.
- Support patients in accessing resources including nutritional services, social work, and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
- Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Proficiency in IV therapy and managing vascular access devices.
- 2–5 years of recent RN experience in a direct patient care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of oncology-specific experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) – required within 2 years of employment.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
