Mobile Medical Assistant (Wound Care) - Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Full-time and Part-time
Shift: Day shift
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment and management of patients with wounds, including dressing changes and application of topical treatments.
- Monitor and document patients' wound healing progress and report any concerns to the supervising clinician.
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with varying degrees of wound severity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the wound care team's calendar.
- Ensure all medical supplies and equipment are stocked and organized.
- Educate patients and their families about wound care practices, prevention, and self-care techniques.
- Provide information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to promote healing.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices in wound care.
- Travel to various patient locations using a company vehicle or personal transportation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in wound care is required
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in wound care techniques and knowledge of infection control practices.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
