Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrator to join our team. The HR Administrator will play a crucial role in managing various human resources functions, including benefits administration, leave of absence management, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, regulatory reporting, employment records management, and talent acquisition. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices and compliance, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.


SALARY: $20 - $22 per hour with a comprehensive benefit package outlined below.


SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

  • 35 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday – Friday.
  • Overtime may be required to address emergency situations.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Location: Chubbuck (ID) or Rockland (ID) depending upon successful candidate.

Qualifications & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or related roles, with a focus on benefits administration, unemployment claims, employment records management, and talent acquisition.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration:
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries about benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Leave of Absences:
  • Oversee the administration of employee leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ADA, and other leave policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies while maintaining accurate records.
  • Workers' Compensation:
  • Administer the workers' compensation process, including reporting incidents, filing claims, and coordinating with insurance carriers.
  • Assist employees with questions related to workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
  • Unemployment Claims:
  • Manage unemployment claims and assist in the response to inquiries from unemployment agencies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting related to unemployment claims, working to minimize company liability.
  • Employment Records Management:
  • Maintain and manage employee records, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Implement and oversee processes for the secure storage and retention of employment records, including personnel files and compliance documentation.
  • Regulatory Reports:
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports related to HR functions, including EEO-1, OSHA logs, and other compliance documentation.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and ensure the company’s HR practices remain compliant.
  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings, including background checks and reference checks.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive necessary training and resources.
  • General HR Support:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects as needed.
