Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced attorney to join a leading law firm in Anchorage, Alaska. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on complex disputes, corporate governance matters, and government contracting issues, with a particular focus on Alaska Native Corporations and tribal governments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigate complex disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants
- Advise on corporate governance, government contracting, and federal programs (e.g., SBA 8(a) Business Development Program)
- Provide legal counsel on matters related to Alaska Native Corporations and tribal governments
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in Alaska
- 5 years of legal experience with a focus on litigation, corporate governance, or government contracting
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Preferred Experience:
- Experience handling government contracting matters
- In-depth knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and related legal issues
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $165,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and skills

This position requires in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays to work remotely.
