Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate Associate with 3-4 years of experience to join a highly regarded law firm in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated corporate transactions in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on federal securities laws, rules, and regulations.
- Handle private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Assist with investment fund formations, drafting LLC and LP agreements, and related documentation.
- Provide counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
- Work closely with venture capital, growth equity, and private equity firms.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of corporate law experience, preferably at a major law firm.
- Strong background in M&A, private equity, or venture capital transactions.
- Experience with fund formation and investment firm operations is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Admission to the California State Bar required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $225,000 - $250,000 (based on experience and qualifications).
