Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law firm seeking a Health Care Transactional Associate Attorney.
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in health care transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals. Experience with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance is preferred. Candidates with regulatory experience in fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee-splitting rules, value-based care, and health care antitrust will be highly regarded. You will service a diverse range of clients in the healthcare industry.
About the Practice
The firm’s Health Care practice is uniquely multidisciplinary, bringing a wide range of legal, policy, advocacy, and strategic advisory skills to our clients’ transactions. Our health care transactions and regulatory team assists with structuring and negotiating transactions, provides strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues, implements a variety of contractual arrangements, and counsels clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the health care industry. The practice is fast-moving, cutting-edge, and dynamic, with opportunities to develop close relationships with many of the most significant players in the health care industry.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of strong health care transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for health care stakeholders.
- Strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends, with a strong health care regulatory background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent legal research, and analytical skills.
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, developing creative solutions to meet client and team needs.
- Team collaboration skill
Salary
The base annual pay range for this role is between $250,000-$370,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical, financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.
