Direct Counsel is partnered with an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a mid-level health care litigation associate to join their national health care practice in their new Charleston office. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, significant litigation or clerkship experience, and superb writing, research, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Handle health care or complex litigation matters

Draft motions, briefs, and prepare depositions

Navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively

Support health care reimbursement compliance, defense, and litigation

Manage government and private payer disputes
Qualifications:

JD and active South Carolina Bar admission required

4 years of experience in health care or complex litigation

Substantial writing experience with little to no supervision needed

Federal litigation experience preferred

Federal clerkship experience is a strong positive

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a national practice
