Direct Counsel is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Attorney to join a well-respected law firm in California.
We are looking for a highly motivated attorney with 8-10 years of healthcare litigation experience for an associate or counsel role. This position offers the opportunity to represent healthcare providers in complex legal matters and work with a collaborative, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent hospitals, medical staffs, medical groups, and ambulatory surgery centers in adversarial proceedings, including administrative hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
- Conduct witness interviews, draft briefs, and present cases.
- Advise healthcare clients on regulatory and accreditation compliance.
- Draft and review governing documents for hospitals, medical staffs, and medical groups.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex healthcare law issues.
- Stay current on emerging healthcare laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of healthcare litigation experience.
- Experience handling clinical care and patient safety issues is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong work ethic and a collaborative approach.
Location & Compensation:
- This position is based in Orange County or Los Angeles.
- Salary range for an associate: $235,000 - $265,000 annually.
- Salary range for counsel: $175,000 - $200,000 annually.
- Actual compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.
