About the Role:
Direct Counsel is seeking a Hospitality Associate with at least two years of hospitality and real estate transactional experience to join a prestigious law firm’s Global Hospitality Group® in Los Angeles. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with a premier hospitality law practice that represents owners, operators, investors, developers, management companies, and capital providers in hotel projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on hotel ownership, franchising, and management transactions.
- Assist with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, and construction.
- Negotiate and draft hospitality and real estate-related agreements.
- Conduct due diligence and manage transactional closings.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- California Bar admission required.
- At least two years of hospitality and real estate transactional experience.
- Experience in a sophisticated law firm setting is required.
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and due diligence skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Total compensation (base salary discretionary year-end bonus) for associates with 3-4 years of experience: $265,000 - $365,000 in 2024.
- Compensation increases based on experience and productivity.
